Civil Municipal Commercial Crack Injection. Before After Examples!
February 12, 2021
During the testing process of a liquid retaining concrete tank, visible leaks through cracks on the dry side of the walls are repaired by means of injecting polyurethane resin.
As seen in this video, holes are drilled on either side of the crack to at least the mid-depth of the wall. In this case, with active water flowing through the crack, an additional measure of placing plywood strips over the crack to reduce the water flow out through the cracks and direct it through the plastic packers.
The repeated success of this methodology helps to ensure that leaks are stopped immediately upon completion of the work.
Upon completion, the installation materials are removed from the wall and the crack injection holes are filled and allowed to cure.
