Pool Deck Slab Raising

fix pool surfaces

It's a fact that settled and cracked concrete will lead to future settlement and more cracks!

Are you tired of stubbing your toes on the uneven spots of your concrete pool deck? Maybe your deck has settled in one or more spots and cracks have started to develop and it’s just an eyesore. Not only are these ugly to look at, but they can be a serious safety issue that can lead to injury or even a lawsuit.

It's not just the weight but the wait!

The problem will not go away on its own and you should address it as soon as you see the issue arise. Using our polyurethane system to raise settled concrete with lightweight foam is the best way to raise, level, and support your concrete deck for years to come. AND, in most cases, raising and leveling your concrete slabs COSTS LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE OF REMOVING AND REPLACING THE SLAB!

What should you look for when deciding if you should give us a call to price your slab raising or void filling work? Well, to start, look for the obvious settled spots or cracks that have started to develop. Sometimes the deck settles in long gradual sections and your slab just looks uneven. Next, take a walk around the edge of the slab and look to see if there are gaps or voids that have developed under your slab. These small 1” gaps tend to be much more noticeable closer to the pool. This means that your deck has nothing supporting it from underneath!  If you see any of these issues, please feel free to give us a call. We’ll come to your home and tell you how we can help solve your problem all as part of our FREE ESTIMATE.

AVOID HAVING YOUR POOL DECK SETTLE AND CRACK ALTOGETHER!

Over time, the ground under your pool deck will settle on its own.  You may not be able to see it, but eventually, this settlement can lead to unsightly cracks, uneven joints in your expensive pool deck, or could also start to pull apart the coping around the pool edge.  Quattro can help to reduce the risk of damage to your deck and pool by filling those voids before a problem starts, for far less money than it would cost to raise and void fill these spots after it’s too late.

When would be a good time to fill the voids under your deck?

There is no straightforward answer to this question.  Depending on how well your pool and concrete deck were built, along with factors like grading around the pool, nearby retaining walls, and so on…, you could be at risk of your deck starting to settle within the first few years after being built.  In many instances, you just can’t tell if your deck is at risk of settling by looking at it.

How about using Quattro’s Soil Stabilization measures to prevent the ground from settling altogether?

Using our “Deep FoamJection” soil stabilization technique, we can inject polyurethane foam deeper into the ground below and near your pool deck to strengthen the earth and prevent it from settling altogether.  This is especially important in areas near existing retaining walls, slopes, and other locations where the ground is more likely to settle.  Call us, or visit our website to learn more about void filling and soil stabilization.
